General GI surgery
As GI surgery is a development of the last decade in the majority of places in India, some of the basic GI surgery procedures used to be done by experienced general surgeon before the field of GI surgery came into the vogue. These procedures can be done by an experienced general surgeon or a GI surgeon. They include;

Medical Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Endoscopy
The way there are neurophysicians and neurosurgeons or cardiac surgeons or cardiologist, there are GI surgeons and GI physicians. GI physician is also known as medical gastroenterologist or gastroenterologist. Hepatologist are gastroenterologist interested in liver diseases. Endoscopies are usually done by gastroenterologists.

Pain management
Pain is a way by which body tells us that something is not right. It may happen following surgery for few hours or days for which appropriate pain medications are given. Some diseases are painful, some of them needs surgery, some needs medications and some needs non-surgical intervention.
We have a dedicated pain management team which helps our patients to cope up with the pain well. We use special methods to alleviate the post operative pain ike, epidural analgesia, patient-controlled analgesia, tran-abdominal plane block etc.

We have an attached facility of pathology department which offers complete one stop services of pathology field which includes blood tests, biopsy, molecular and genetic studies.
